ANDI PERULLO, 28, American, Charlotte, Chinese medicine doctor and travel writer/photographer. Balancing career & travel with style to boot!
Describe a moment you thought hope was lost and how you recovered from that moment of insanity: My wallet was stolen in Madrid, including my passport, train tickets, $500, and all of my credit cards. I almost had a nervous breakdown, but I knew it wouldn't help, so I took a deep
breath and wrote down what I needed to do. It took a day of running around and kindness from
strangers, but everything worked out.
I always think about this when I'm in a stressful
situation. I stop fighting things out of my control and have adopted
the attitude of “what will be, will be.” I look at the change
as just another adventure. Adapting to change is the key to a successful trip!
Describe one amazing thing you have seen/done: I became scuba certified AND sky
dived for the 1st time at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Both were amazing
experiences in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
What do you hope you made a difference in: I hope by living life
to the fullest, I'll inspire the same in others. Life is too short to not enjoy everything this world offers.
What's the best advice you can give someone: Solo travel. Nothing will teach you
more about yourself than exploring the world on your own.
What's your favorite food: A tie between chocolate and popcorn. |
